rattler Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Well there might be a few touch ups but I would like to know what you think and can you pick out anything I might have missed. Would appreciate your feedback.
Colt40Five Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Only thing I can see is a few spots where you touched up the camo on the wings, but then didn't blur the edges to match(near the insignia on each wing). And in that first shot why does the tailhook seem to appear out of thin air? I'm guessing that has to do with the model? And since you asked for a critique I must say that the eagle on the tail looks a little pixelated up close. Short of finding a better image not sure what you can do about that. And a word of caution....once you start skinning...forever will it dominate your destiny... hehe :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Deadman Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Right wing roundels is up side down if you want it there i don't think the F-15 usually has one on the top of both wings but I my be wrong https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
rattler Posted June 3, 2007 Author Posted June 3, 2007 touch ups ok I touched up and removed roundels on right wing. the arrester hook is a Model problem but it is attached. Did the best I could with the Eagle. I will look around for something that I can touch up better. So Critique time again.
Colt40Five Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 I still don't think the touch-ups are blurred enough(same spots on the wings and also at the base of the tail). I think I used an RLE Gaussian blur set on 10 for the whole camo layer, but I don't know if you made the touch-ups a separate layer or not. It's not so bad that it ruins the skin though. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Learning a lot and thanks for feedback. I could have layered as well. All in the learning process I guess. I am going to try one from scratch, that should be a laugh. Well don't learn if you don't try. I put the skin in screenshots for others to see with credit to you, but I will not be uploading to any download sites. This is just for me. It would not be right as it is your work not mine. I am happy to have it just for me. Cheers and thanks for your input.
Colt40Five Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 I'd create the 'fixes' on a separate layer and then you could blur it to match without also blurring the original parts. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
