Trim reset

Hi,

is it possible to reset my trim i manually put i.e. during carrier apperoach?

I believe there’s a trim reset somewhere in the control menu, otherwise pushing the T/O trim button should fix it for the most part.

As far as I know, the trim you enter during carrier approach is cancelled out when you either land (not sure if it's automatic, or if I've just always done it with T/O trim) or lift the gear/flaps.

Cancel trim?

You trim for on speed when landing and rarely trim when in flight unless a the aircraft is not symmetrical because of loadout etc.

I could be wrong, but I thought just putting flaps switch back to AUTO will trim the plane for 1G flight??

 

For instance, when I'm landing on the carrier, I trim for on speed. I very rarely land on the first attempt so i apply full power, raise gear and flaps and begin the pattern again. i dont retouch the trim until I lower gear and flaps again.

 

Give it a try. Trim for on-speed then raise gear and flaps. Aircraft should fly like normal 1G flight.
