erniedaoage Posted November 2, 2018 Posted November 2, 2018 Hello world, i found this idea on another game forum and thought its a great idea for dcs. So if you want an cheap and easy afterburner detent for your twcs throttle just put 2 velcro stripes at nearly the end of the throttle and adjust your throttle curveature ingame. Attached a picture of mine. Have fun! 1 Specs:WIN10, I7-4790K, ASUS RANGER VII, 16GB G.Skill DDR3, GEFORCE 1080, NVME SSD, SSD, VIRPIL T-50 THROTTLE, K-51 COLLECTIVE, FFBBeast Virpil Alpha+VFX Grip, MFG CROSSWINDS, JETPAD, RIFT S Modules:A10C, AH-64D, AJS-37, AV8B, BF109K4, CA, F/A18C, F14, F5EII, F86F, FC3, FW190A8, FW190D9, KA50, L39, M2000C, MI8TV2, MI24P, MIG15BIS, MIG19P, MIG21BIS, MIRAGE F1, P51D, SA342, SPITFIRE, UH1H, NORMANDY, PERSIAN GULF, CHANNEL, SYRIA Thrustmaster TWCS Afterburner Detent https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=223776 My Frankenwinder ffb2 stick https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/254426-finally-my-frankenwinder-comes-alive/
Icebeat Posted November 2, 2018 Posted November 2, 2018 could you attach a picture of your curvature as well?
erniedaoage Posted November 2, 2018 Author Posted November 2, 2018 Sure here it is, it's for the J-11A but it works best when you start a instant free flight and go to controls and start to adjust there since its gonna be different for every plane. I placed my strips so it works perfectly with the mig21, but every other module i have to adjust. BattleAxes Skinner Posted August 26, 2019 Posted August 26, 2019 Hey Ernie, Looks like a pretty good idea. Lemme try it out and report back. Thanks for sharing. || नभ स्पर्शं दीप्तम् || - Touch the sky with glory
Canadus Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 Does someone have User-Curves, for the various planes in DCS? Would save some time for some of us :D Ryzen 5800XD - 32GB RAM - Sapphire RX 7900 XTX - VKB Stuff + MFG Crosswind Pedals Homebase: Southwest Germany
BattleAxes Skinner Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Hey there, I tried this out = sticking a velcro tape on the inside side walls. Unfortunately, the weight of the throttle doesn't allow for a proper implementation of the detent. Since the throttle is extremely light weight, the whole unit tends to jump/lift on the application of slightly extra force to get to the afterburner stage. || नभ स्पर्शं दीप्तम् || - Touch the sky with glory

Need to have the base “mounted” or bolted down. Have you tried adding friction to the throttles with the top left/right roller wheel? Cheers, Don Am afraid I don't have a dedicated space available to "mount" or "bolt" down the throttle and the stick. I have tried adjusting the friction but it's not through a left/right roller wheel in the TWCS. You're talking about the Warthog. || नभ स्पर्शं दीप्तम् || - Touch the sky with glory
