Hello,

is there any way to change the loadout of the Countermeasures dispense system 20SP ?

The Mig-29 Manual from DCS mentions it can be filled with 2 blocks of 30 flares or chaffs.

However looking at it from the outside views it seems like the system is always pumping out flares only when "Q" is pressed.

Is this somehow changeable into at least a 50/50 mix of 30 units each?

Kind regards,

Tested 29A yesterday on latest OB. Default load is 50/50, which is 30 of both kind. You can load max of 60 of chaff only or flares only. Do that in ME or in loadout screen during a mission, asking ground crew, while engines off at friendly airport.

Default keys:

Q - release both

Insert - chaff

Delete - flares

Draconus,

thanks a lot for your info.I‘ll check it again in the evening when I get home.

Seem to recall that my default from the ME for Mig-29s was flares only.

But will look at it again.

Good to know that chaffs are generally available.

Kind regards,

Draconus,

you are right.I checked it again, as you said in the ME you are able to select the loadout for the countermeasure system and default is 50/50 flare and chaffs.

I was using the Q -key for dispensing countermeasures and the flares probably optically

overlayed the chaffs, or I was looking at it from the wrong outside view angle.

Anyway thank you for the hint, very good to know that the Mig is be able to employ chaff and flares both.

Thanks,

Well, chaff shoots from the tail and is not very visible. Happy notching :)
