Slopeh Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 The coordinate format you put in on the UFC, supports Degrees Minutes Seconds (DMS - DD MM' SS"), and on the HSI it pops up as Degrees Decimal Minutes (DDM - DD MM.MM"), as showed in the picture: https://i.redd.it/3ngduhcgmfw11.png I've seen some posts with confused users trying to enter Decimal Minutes coordinates into the UFC, and they probably used values over 60 on its two last digits, and not understanding why it didnt work. I can understand the confusion, as most Decimal Minutes coordinates are 3-decimals, where on the HSI its 2-decimals only identifiable by the decimal compared to the Degrees Minutes Second format. Would be nice if you could swap the supporting format in UFC like in real life (might come later), but for now, it at least was consistent DD MM.MMM like all the approach plate coordinates on the kneeboards. Slopeh Posted November 11, 2018 Author Posted November 11, 2018 See this got moved to wish list. Does having corresponding coordinate formats really qualify as a wish? Doesnt really make sense the way it is now really. My suggestions on improvements I guess could translate into wishes though ;-) Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Frederf Posted November 11, 2018 Posted November 11, 2018 It's an incomplete feature. By pilot preference coordinates set DM.M or DMS. Inputs and displays are the same format.
