Charlie-1 Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 (edited) It seems much promotional material and map development focuses on cities like Vegas, Dubai etc, whereas in reality those areas are worst performing on medium to lower spec machines and even higher spec systems from looking at the other posts. Night lighting is still an issue and not as good as it was in 1.5. I see the FPS drop when even looking towards these areas, so wonder why the focus on these features in maps in the absence of an efficient game engine to run them without performance impact. Agreed, flying at night used to be awesome. 4.8 I7, 1080, TMW&T, SSD, VKB MK.IV.
SVgamer72 Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 I still remember flying at night in the original Flanker (circa 1995). It was sublime and a real "moment" in flight-sim'ing for me. It would be nice to see a return of mind blowing lighting conditions. The maps are amazing, and deserve to look their best at any time of day.
Eldur Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 I simply guess that 2.5 still is in early access - at least the fact that the fps are chopped by about 60% for a while now clearly supports this statement
