berk.kp Posted November 20, 2018 Posted November 20, 2018 I flew like a one hour flight, upon landing I realized my gear would not extend. I tried the emergency gear handle, but no succes either. Was it because of a wrong setting of the gear handle?
Weta43 Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 You did take the handle to the end of the travel didn't you (not just up one stop from the extend position to the neutral position) ? It should sit in the middle position normally, then be moved down to extend the gear, then back to the neutral position - which simply closes off the air valves & leaves the wheels where they are - then to up to retract (& back to the middle) ... Cheers.
msalama Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 Did you turn the main air valve on? Because the pressure in the tanks will deplete if you leave it off. The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
IvanK Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 Did you turn the main air valve on? Because the pressure in the tanks will deplete if you leave it off. errr I think you mean residual pressure in the lines ?? Turning the Main Air valve OFF isolates the Main Air from the system
msalama Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 errr I think you mean residual pressure in the lines ?? Ahem... yes, exactly ;) Thanks for the correction. Anyway, the valve must be turned on, or the tanks won't supply air to the system. The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
