shdwp Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 This is my biggest gripe with the Viggen. I'd absolutely love to love the damn thing, but I can't, because in VR instruments are too small and dark to read and HUD is too low contrast to comprehend. I've tried poking around the lua files and while I did find interesting looking constants in there changing them led nowhere. Could there be something? I know you can change HUD font size in the A10C, could that be done for the Viggen? What about making it more sharp and contrast? It's really hard to go back to the desktop from the VR and Viggen feels like an aircraft I'd fall in love with, it's just that I cant really operate it without constantly zooming in on instruments and HUD. Thanks.
Holton181 Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 I know you can change HUD font size in the A10C, could that be done for the Viggen? Yes, can be done, I have. I don't have it in memory where and I'm not at home for a couple of days so I can't check, but keep on looking in those luas, you'll find it. Lupson Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 I have a (swedish) squadmate using the Rift CV1 that has installed the English cockpit mod for Viggen due to the text being more distinct in that mod. Perhaps worth trying? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Ramstein Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 In the past, I was able to see the target a whole lot better with the scope... now it is just to hard to see and lock targets. The little opening in the crosshairs was much bigger, now I just can't see with such a small opening, to lock and unlock targets. The contrast and brightness are harder to use, need much more adjustment than before. is there a way that they can be put back the way they were before the updates and patches made them harder to use?
