cuervo111 Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 Hey, I wrote Virpil support about this issue but thought I would share the issue here in case anyone else is suffering it. And also I'll share the solution if I find it. I'd appreciate feedback from the community too! I'll just copy the message here: I am having an issue with my throttle. It has happened with the default profile and also with profiles I've created. The logical buttons assigned to physical buttons 36, 38 and 40 are registering presses without me touching the throttle at all. It happens every 10 seconds or so and it seems to be random. The three button presses are registered at the same time. I can't see the effect in the physical buttons in VPC but I do see it in the VPC tester tool and they register in DCS as well. mdee Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Make sure you or on latest firmware. It can be downloaded from Virpil website. https://virpil-controls.eu/downloads/software.html
cuervo111 Posted November 27, 2018 Author Posted November 27, 2018 Yes I was coming here to report that it was a bug fixed in that update, as confirmed by virpil support. Thanks! DCS Rosetta, my automatic DCS mission and campaign translator: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=233877
evilnate Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Anyone else still having this issue? Recently forced to update to windows 11, updated firmware, no help. Can’t even calibrate the throttle hat.
NahkaSukka Posted March 22 Posted March 22 I used to have a problem with my control panel #2, that my landing gear would come down on it's own without touching the landing gear handle, which was quite akward thing to happen during a mission but haven't happened anymore, need to play more to be sure the problem is gone.

I also have this with CP#2, don't notice it in game as its sending current state anyway so nothing changes. But in bindings menu for example it randomly jumps to the gear selection as the signal is sent. So not a disaster, but it is annoying, would love to know a resolution to this.
JackTheKnave Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Most of sensors, if not all, used in VPC devices can be calibrated in their official software. Contact their support and they will let you know how to do that if that will help. 18 hours ago, JohnW71 said: also have this with CP#2, don't notice it in game as its sending current state anyway so nothing changes. I was just flying with my AH-64 and noticed that the landing gear lights in the control panel started to change from green to yellow and then back. After some time, it stayed yellow until it started doing it again. Checked my F/A-18C bindings and they had changed so i had to set them up again, and i will check them again everytime i fly fixed wing. Something fishy is going on with that lever, but everything seems normal in VPC configuration tool.
JackTheKnave Posted April 1 Posted April 1 My guess is that windows changes joystick ID (probably GUID?) each time the joystick is powered up. I heard connecting the gear to some USB hubs might result in such stuff, not sure how to explain it though.

So joybutton69 is lever up, middle position is joybutton68 and lever down position is joybutton70. When i had my landing gear lever down, it would intermittently switch between joybutton70 and 69. So when i have my landing gear lever down it's randomly pushing lever up/down. Sounds like a faulty unit and i'll need to contact Virpil for a fix.

If the landing gear has its button activating just by themselves then it I suspect the landing gear sensor needs to be recalibrated. Contact virpil support, they know better.
