Mr_sukebe Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 I know that DCS are working on a more complex damage model. Is it partly in test in beta? The reason I ask is that I made a mess of a landing in my FW190 on Sunday and ripped a wing off. I don’t think I’d ever seen wing damage in that style before. Any thoughts? Just wishful thinking? 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat
Ala13_ManOWar Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 (edited) It's being internally tested, IIRC a recent newsletter. Not Beta yet. S! QuiGon Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 The new dammage model is in internal testing, but is not yet available in the public versions. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
.Tigre. Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 A big element also getting a lot of attention has been the new damage model we discussed in an earlier newsletter. We’ve been using the Spitfire as the test bed and the progress has been steady and good. Once we’re happy with the results, we’ll first incorporate the new damage model system into the other warbirds.
