So I was updating a surface book, when the media creation tool wigged out on me. Long story short, I see multiple 0 byte partitions on my SSD. this is when I boot into media creation tool for a new install.

But other tools Hiren Boot, MiniTool Partition, SystemRescueCD and Acronis rescue disk doesn't see my SSD.

What other tools have you had luck with?

I've never had to have a vendor fix my computer in 35+ years. But I'm close to breaking that streak.:helpsmilie:

Linux ( any new one ) and gparted.

Sometimes, only Linux, or a Mac, can fix it

* I would use Linux Mint 19 and make a boot stick, that has ALL you need when you boot into the Live OS ;)

I'm OK with creating USB boot disks. I use UNetbootin.
