Is this a bug or is it me? (Sidearm related)

Not sure if parts of the Sidearm are still (or again) bugged, or that I'm doing something wrong here.

Yesterday, when I tried taking out several SA-8's using Sidearms, I noticed the seeker head tone disappeared, whereas the Sidearms appeared to be still working (my targets got hit).

What did I try:

Spawn on the Tarawa

Take off

Test Sidearm (seeker tone audible - ok so far)

Did some aerial refueling on the way to the target zone

Upon arrival at target zone activated A/G mode

Master arm ON

Selected SA

But this time no seeker tone is audible

Ignored it and continued my mission. Sidearms were still locking on targets, I was able to fire them and the hit their targets, but all this without any audible tone.

Switching SA off an on, both on the mfd as via the red buttons below the left mfd (not sure what they're called), but this didn't help.

Tried this 3 times with the same results

So.. Am I dong something wrong here, or is this a bug?

(oh by the way; the mission is not bugged as I didn't have any trouble playing it two weeks ago)

Check the AUX volume knob setting. It controls the volume for both Sidewinder and Sidearm tones..

Hmm, searched the cockpit and Chucks guide, but I can't seem to find this aux volume knob. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

I tried rotating this knob (both by rotating the mouse wheel and by pressing left mouse button and move up), but unfortunately still no tone

its working but still a bit buggy, its the ECIS AUX volume knob, the double!! volume knob, make sure u turn the upper one!!, if u have the weapon selected it will come up instantly, the bug is that it silences again after a few minutes, just turn it again as workaround

if u turn it on startup, as i would do, its silenced again till u select your weapon, that might be the reason u don t get it working

Thanks FoxDelta

I might indeed have been turning the lower volume knob before, not sure, but then again the av8b cockpit is pretty dark at dawn... Anyways it works fine now. I hope they fix it soon though (together with the off center aim cue when you have a lock)

The double knobs are especially difficult to manipulate via the mouse in VR.

Can we get CW and CCW key commands for all the modeled encoders and rotary switches.
