[INVESTIGATING] Releasing the weapon release button does not break bombing sequence

When you stop holding the "weapon release button" during bombing sequence (having several bombs programmed in intervals), the Hornet will continue to drop bombs until program ends.

 

Don't have the manual in front of me right now but I think it's a common safety measure that as soon as the pilot releases the trigger, the weapon will stop firing? At least A-10C stops the release immediately and shows big warnings on the MFCDs.
