Burning Bridges Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 Enjoying the MiG greatly but I have questions about the signal lights, so far I find no summary of the cockjpit warnings. eg I just came down with a pretty hazardous landing and a warning and beeping sound came on it says "откас сос". If I translate this it means "failure SOS" or "failure COC". That is to say I dont know what it means at all. As I wrote I tried to look in the manual too but find no table that would list all the lights for quick reference. Can we maybe use this to collect the most important documentation that is available? The MiG 29 manual is ok but does not appear comprehensive.
Rudel_chw Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 (edited) As I wrote I tried to look in the manual too but find no table that would list all the lights for quick reference. On the Flight Manual of the MiG-29G there is this schematic, that probably is valid for the MiG-29A (and hopefully, the MiG-29S too): Sorry the bad quality of the scanning ... didnt do it myself :( Regarding the COC FAIL lamp, I dont know what is the COC, the manual just says that this failure occurs when both AOA limiter channels of the AOA Computer have failed, automatic LEF operation is disabled.
