Pricer27421 Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Hey pilots, I have just finished putting together my new PC but I am in need of a graphics card to complete my build. I have been waiting for the 2080 TI‘s to drop in price but it seems like it is a little bit expensive for me at the moment. I just don’t want to invest in something as expensive as a gpu and not have a good experience. More my price range would be the 2080 (non ti). Could someone give me some user experience using a regular 2080 (non ti) and dcs? Will I be happy with the purchase and not regret buying the 2080 ti? My system is as follows: Msi curved 1440p monitor 34” 21:9 I7 9700k 1TB 970evo nvme ssd Rog strix Z390 gaming e Hyper 212 evo air cooler H500 NZXT case 32 GB 3200 Corsair lpx ram

Headwarp Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 (edited) If you're in the US by chance and have the option of Best Buy - I'm pretty sure they take returns on anything as long as it's within 14 days. Double check that policy when it comes to video cards but if you have that option, get what you can afford and see how you like it. Or, if you absolutely decide you want a 2080Ti, EVGA has the 2080Ti Black edition listed for $999 @ the EVGA store, although it's not in stock yet. I wouldn't expect to be able to overclock the black edition though. Pricer27421 Posted December 20, 2018 Author Posted December 20, 2018 Thanks for the replies, I have been looking at that black edition for a while now and have been on the auto notify for about a month now. I am unsure what the timeframe will be to be back in stock. Seems like there is a shortage of these cards.
