AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

I think TWS will really be a game changer for the Hornet.

Able to engage more than 1 target at a time and proper IFF.

ATFLIR will finally allow us to engage ground targets and give true multi role capabilty.

Its gonna be a good year for DCS with all the goodies releasing.

Yes. The Aim120 don't differ much from the AIM7 with STT only: you can target only on|bandit and you alert him before as soon as you shoot or even as soon as you lock him.

Actually adds realism to the game... TWS on a mechanically scanned array gets destroyed by even the most basic jammers. We're so used to the simplified F-15C TWS, everyone thinks it works fine. With any type of jamming you need STT.

The "missile launch warning" also doesn't make sense for most modules. These things don't look for an STT, they look for specific frequencies that will show with STT or TWS.
