JTAC GBU Hornet

Can anyone confirm that the JTACs are working with the GBUs in the Hornet? I assign them task, attack group, weapon (guided bomb) designation (laser) set (frequency) but do not respond. The JETAC has always given me a headache, but sometimes I have managed to make it work.

The VMFA-251 server has a permanent AI JTAC lasing a bunker up around Nevada 63a and all the GBU's hit it (just as do the MavE's.) Unguided MK-82's suffer from terrible pilot errors. Need to get a new Multiplayer Pilot.

Here you can find a mission and a track file of f18 employment of GBU using a CTLD Jtac or a regular ME jtac (on 264, which is radio 1 channel 1)

Moral of the story- it works great using the limitations we currently have. Get in the habit of throwing them and you can be quite combat effective.

If you are using a drone...is it being shot down before you contact? Are you using a JTAC that can laser? If your JTAC is in enemy contact, is it being destroyed, try setting "invisible and or immortal" in the advanced settings.

 

 

If all else fails, download a user posted JTAC mission and look over their setup in the mission editor.

 

 

Not sure all the GBU laser capability is available in the release version, it works in the beta fine.

You can try my single player mission attached. It uses a Drone as JTAC. Also, it is on the Persian Gulf map.

Thanks for the companion answers, first of all, yes, the configuration of the JTAC is standard, invisible, immortal, ceasefire, etc. Other times I've made it work, but at this moment it only works if I start the mission in the air. It does not work starting the mission from the ground. Thanks for your time.

I try to upload the miz but it gives me an error, it occupies 7,2mb, what I am doing is copying the configuration of the file that pimp has passed to me to add it to my mission, thank you very much everyone for your time.
