Where is the Goggles Gain up/down control/axis in the cockpit?

I searched the manual, but could not find any reference to goggles, or specific NVG controls.

I was looking for a brightness/gain axis like the HMD has. But I cannot find where this switch is located in the cockpit to even see if it is a rocker or axis.

I would assume they are on goggles themselves and not in the cockpit. But I could be wrong.

Either on the goggles themselves, or no manual control at all in the case goggles with auto gain.

There are keycommands to increase & decrease the gain on the goggles in the game. I was hoping for a rotary, like the HMD Brightness has. I have 2 rotaries on my x55 throttle I wanted to use use for the HMD and NVG brightnesses.

Yes in DCS that’s how it’s done as you can’t see/reach for the controls on goggles in a game. In reality NVDs have no connection to the aircraft, hence there are no controls for them in the cockpit.

Generally, NVGs for fighter aircraft don't have a gain control. It's also different in game from real life because you aren't looking through the NVGs for cockpit controls, you have cockpit lighting and hopefully a lip light (you turn the light on and off by poking it with your tongue lol.) You focus the NVGs for looking far away, so everything in the cockpit will be blurred if you try to use it that way. Everything in cockpit is done underneath the NVGs, and you hope you have an NVG compatible cockpit so the displays aren't reflecting off the canopy and ruining your outside view.
