This very first mission puts me above ground near Creech AFB and only gives subtitles (no VOs) - so I can only look around and do nothing. I guess it's not right. @OB 2.5.4

No problem progressing of course, but no fun at all beside the text.

Have you tried a DCS Repair?

 

We just tested the mission against:

 

and it tested fine.

 

Here is what we see on mission load and after pressing fly and no problems hearing the voice overs.

 

Likely your version is corrupted so if the DCS Repair doesn't work try an uninstall and reinstall of the campaign files.

Here's how it was:

DCS repair - same problem

Campaign redownload - same

renamed my Saved games\DCS folder - OK

after configuring options to my taste - not working again

...

Found it - for this "mission" to work you have to have this 2 options ticked:

1. MISC > "Spectator External Views" - to look at C-130

2. Audio > "External view cockpit sounds and radio messages" - to hear VOs

Both are default on but I had them off.
