knightal Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 (edited) Hi I'm using the Thrustmaster Warthog Joystick and Throttle. The problem seems to be a conflict with the throttle being in the OFF position when trying to start up the A-10C. As a test I have disconnected the throttle from my PC and using just the keyboard commands all is OK. I still have the Joystick connected. So it seems that there is a conflict with the Warthog throttle because when I try using any function via the Throttle everything just shuts down the engine APU % Gauge drops and of course the engines will not spool up. I am however at a loss as to where the conflict is. I've checked through the Adjust Controls menu but nothing seems out of place. Any ideas what could cause this? Emmy Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 Have you carefully examined the entire column of bindings under Throttle for any duplicate entries or things that shouldn't be there? Wrench Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Just to make sure you're aware: The sim actually uses the change of states to trigger inputs, so if you start with the throttle in OFF, DCS will assume it/'s at IDLE. So one must cycle the throttle from OFF to IDLE and back to OFF before attempting engine start. Carrier Script.
hansangb Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Have you carefully examined the entire column of bindings under Throttle for any duplicate entries or things that shouldn't be there? Or put another way, make sure there are no bindings in other USB devices (MFDs, button boxes, etc) that belongs to the throttle. I don't think you'll see any mapping for the throttle functions as it's all done via the lua files. IIRC. So it may be that there's a binding for a throttle function (apu, flaps etc) assigned to *other* USB devices. hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1

Do you have the "APU start" switch on your HOTAS in the "on" position? If not it might be worth a try EDIT: Never mind, it's not that Edited January 23, 2019 by Horns Modules: [A-10C] [AJS 37] [AV8B N/A] [F-5E] [F-14] [F-15E] [F-16] [F/A-18C] [FC3] [Ka-50] [M-2000C] [Mig-21 bis] [Afghanistan] [Cold War: Germany] [Iraq] [Kola] [NTTR] [PG] [SC] Intel i9-14900KF, Nvidia GTX 4080, Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Master X 64GB DDR5 @ 6400 MHz, SteelSeries Apex Pro, Asus ROG Gladius 3, VKB Gunfighter 3 w/ F-14 grip, VKB STECS throttle, Thrustmaster MFD Cougars x2, MFG Crosswind, DSD Flight Series button controller, XK-24, Meta Quest 3
