borchi_2b Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 this ist the model of the fueltank for the a-10 right now. i am working on it and hope that the releasedate will be very soon here 2 screens from ingame. unfortunatly these fueltanks are not the once i am creating, but these are the once i will replace. the original fueltank of the a-10 has about 2800 Liters, the once i will replace have 2000Liter, so it sums up to about the same the fueltanks will be available on the pylons 4,6 and 8 where the a-10 is able to carrie them. luckily it is possible to use the fuel in lockon so the question of fueltanks for the a-10 will be over when i am done with this greetings boom boom p.s.: questions and support are welcome http://www.polychop-sims.com
sp0nge Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Cool. I tend to stay away from the groundpounders but recently ive taken a liking to their style :) Is breaking the laws of gravity illegal? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
borchi_2b Posted July 18, 2007 Author Posted July 18, 2007 newest update. i have cleaned the edges and now i have about 130 polys. should be small enough. one thing i need to know is, what do i have to do, when i want to make a nice skin for the fueltank? can somebody help me out? i think a basic grey without any lines that show the metaledges of the tank is not enough, so please hhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllpppppppppp me http://www.polychop-sims.com
Merc Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Weathering at the hard points and on the underside. Some chipped paint on the front end, markings stickers and stamps. Use your reference pictures. Also, one thing : did you model that small rail on the underside? http://us.airliners.net/photos/photos/4/9/8/0972894.jpg 1 - Nachtwolf
borchi_2b Posted July 19, 2007 Author Posted July 19, 2007 yes Merc, i have forgotten the line underneath the the fueltank, i will add it in a fewhours or days. i am right now working on a SR71. by the way here is an actual pic of my work it will hopefully replace the fueltank of the su24, because it is the onlyone that would have about that much fuel. the original fueltank has 2800 liter and the one from the su24 has 3000 liter. have to talk with tomcatz about it though http://www.polychop-sims.com
Black_Hawk Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 I'm not 100% sure, but I think that I saw the fuel values for objects in meinit.xml, maybe they can be changed from there. I'll give it a try. 159th GAR LockOnFiles CAW Team
