hitman Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 I am getting annoyed here, although slightly, every time I look around my view centers somewhere else quite frequently. It will either zoom all the way over the shoulder and zoom all the way in or lock on directly to my crotch. As much as I like looking at myself, I have better things to do. Is this an issue or is there adjustments to be made? Also I try to look down and it gets very shaky and unsteady when I try to look at the instrament panels. Top that off, I cant even see the panels because by the time I move my head down I cant see my monitor under the visor of my cap. Any help much oblidged. 1
Kuky Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 your problem is that the angle at which vector expansion is tilted (I bet you have it) is too low and this is because tip of the hat on which you keep the metal bit is to low. try making the metal line that connects to centre strip in line with trackIR sensor and it will work much better. in other terms, the reflector strips should be at right angle to the TrackIR sensor. SuperKungFu Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 it also might be due to the trackir driver. I heard the recent one had a "look down" problem, not sure if its the same as what you described. So it might be wise to downgrade a driver version, but be sure to check on the naturalpoint forums to see if you should do this. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Kuky Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 naa it's not the driver... I've had same thing before and I figured out the angle is the issue... got a different hat with more flat top and I don't have this problem any more. Ven Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 There's tracking window you can launch from trackIR software. Try the head movement you're doing in game and see if trackIR sees all 3 markers at all times. If not, you need to reposition the markers and/or trackIR so all 3 markers are seen at all times.
hitman Posted July 22, 2007 Author Posted July 22, 2007 Thanks Kuky, that worked. Although I think I had mine too high.
