Game crashes before I even log in.

I just freshly installed Windows 10 on a new hard drive, check Nvidia driver, updated sound card driver, download DCS... crashes shortly after it check for updates.

In general troubleshooting it says "Release C:\Users\Darek\Saved Games\DCS"

What is that mean?

It seams that windows or my antivirus is stopping DCS from writing to files...

My System:

Windows 10, lattes build

Intel® Core i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60GHz

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB; Driver from Dec 2018: 417.35

32 GB Ram

ASUS Prime B250M-A with lattes Bios

Huh!

Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment.

Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above.

It seams that windows or my antivirus is stopping DCS from writing to files...

I agree that it could be an Antivirus issue, as PID.dll is not a DCS process ... you should try to exclude DCS locations from the Antivirus.

I use MS Defender and have excluded my Saved Games, Program Files (drive L, only has DCS) and OneDrive (I store my DCS configuration there), like this:

In spanish, but other languages should be similar.

It's FIXED - it was the Antivirus! I did what Rudel suggested and placed the : I placed the C:\Users\Darek\Saved Games\DCS in the exclusions for my Bitdifender antivirus and game runs like a champ! Thank you Rudel! Thank you all!
