DmitriKozlowsky Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Real world MagVar or magnetic delination for Normandy (as of 1999) is Westerly (negative) 0 or 1. But according to DCS cimmunity, it is E 008. Which one is correct?
tea_cypher Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Off the top of my head deviation changes by .2° a year, remember normedy is set during ww2, 70 odd years ago
DmitriKozlowsky Posted February 1, 2019 Author Posted February 1, 2019 Krap! The Temporal Monkey strikes again. I trained to that, back'n'day, when using old maps, and fell flat on my tuchus here. Oi'vey! Wouldn't that make 1944 MagVar at Caen E 13? M.A.G.E. To convert Magnetic Azimuth To Grid(Map) Azimuth with Easterly declination, add MagVar to MagAz. To convert Grid Azimuth to Magnetic Azimuth with Easterly Declination, subtract MagVar angle from Grid azimuth. Army LandNav 101.
