Nealius Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 The default VFA-37 livery appears to have the wrong tail code. 'AC' is CVW-3. VFA-37 is not attached to CVW-3. They are CVW-8, along with VFA-87, and should have the 'AJ' tail code to match. Could someone whip up a proper VFA-37 line jet?
MPalmer Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 they have been attached to CVW-3 from 1992-2014...where did you search for this...they have recently transferred to CVW-8 HISTORY PAGE VFA-37 Marvin "Cactus" Palmer DCS:World 2.5(ob) Gigabyte Z390 Designare i7-9700K (4.6GHz), 32Gb RAM (3600MHz), GTX2070, 40" 1080p Monitor, TM Warthog, Saitek Rudder pedals,TM Cougar MFD, and an ipad.
Nealius Posted February 3, 2019 Author Posted February 3, 2019 Initially from the CVW-8 Wikipedia page. There are also plenty of pictures of line and CAG Legacy birds with 'AJ.' The few pics that were dated seem to be from 2017. I'm trying to make a CVW-8 population on the carrier deck, and VFA-87 is the only 'AJ' Hornet we currently have. I can't find historical composites of CVW-8 to find out who VFA-37 replaced.
BlueJacketWarrior Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 I mean if someone is willing to do one it would be nice. Shouldn't be too hard. Just change the tail. But yeah the Bulls where in CAG 3 until the end of 2015.
Nealius Posted February 3, 2019 Author Posted February 3, 2019 The template doesn't work with Gimp, does it? My Photoshop serial expired years ago.
