Sebakogu Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Hi folks, I received the coordinates from Overlord LN 162443 and typed em in my CDU (Mission and new waypoint). Somehow these coordinates dont work as the outpost is close to waypoint 4 down in a valley. Can you help me what I'm doing wrong here? http://www.twitch.tv/sebakogu
=Panther= Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Did you change the grid to 38T? I got 38T LN162 343 and were dead on where it should have been. Sebakogu Posted February 3, 2019 Author Posted February 3, 2019 How do I change to grid 38 T? Do I need to type 38TLN162343 in a row? I just typed LN162443 http://www.twitch.tv/sebakogu
=Panther= Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 (edited) I'm not near the manual or the PC with DCS installed, but I'll do my best to explain. On the CDU repeater of the MFCD, the OSB# above the line where you update the coordinates is the grid. Default in that scenario it was 37T. Type 38T in the scratchpad and hit the OSB# (sorry don't know which one it is but it's the series on the left side directly above the coordinates), and you should see the grid update to 38T. Edit second one from the bottom on left side of MFCD with the CDU repeater displayed. =Panther= Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Yea, just watched a video. Thanks for your help Panther! I had to go watch my twitch replay of the mission to refresh my memory. Do so much stuff out of habit, but can't describe it at times. Twitch Channel [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Virtual Thunderbirds, LLC | Sponsored by Thrustmaster Z390 Aorus Xtreme, i9 9900k, G.SKILL TridentZ Series 32GB, 1080ti 11GB, Obutto R3Volution, Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog, TPR, Cougar MFDs, FSSB R3L, JetSeat, Oculus Rift S, Buddy-Fox A-10C UFC, F/A-18C UFC, Tek Creations F-16 ICP

sze5003 Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 (edited) What I noticed is after you put coordinates in you will see just mountain and trees. So you just have to fly to those coordinates and when you are over the area you should see the Outpost. At that point you can just orbit and pick off the targets. Lots of terrain masking the tgp so at first it may be difficult to see where you are supposed to go. Also make sure to take out the AAA first. I got shot down by mowing down the 4 trucks first then going after the triple A. I asked wingman to take out the air defense but he just kept saying running in and flying above the post.
