Graphical update planned for the Mi-8

Cockpit updates have been announced for the KA-50 and A-10C. But what about the Mi-8? Is something planned here?

Unless you’ve seen something somewhere that says otherwise, the Mi8 is fairly new. In fact they just added a few things to it last year (door gunners, working fans etc)

Yeah, but the cockpit should be redone at some point regardless because of the lights shining through etcetera.

Lights shining through is a general bug that affects all the platforms. It will hopefully be addressed by ED someday and will solve the problem for all. Re doing the cockpit of the Mi8 will not help.

When comparing the level of details of the Ka50 along with the quality of textures for this chopper, the mi8 is certainly at the bottom of the priority list compared to the ka50 who really shows its age (10 years!!). The Mi8 can definitively wait for many years.

I agree, the Mi-8 cockpit is still quite impressive.

 

But I would appreciate some PBR shaders (metallic workflow) specially in the external model :smilewink:.
