Django
I'm looking for a 2x16 32GB 32000MHz kit for my i7-9700K build. Is it worth paying £50 more for CAS 14 vs CAS 15? BitMaster
no, not worth it. 15 is already good and you might be able to oc them to 14 with a little more volts, like 1.375-1.400v Gigabyte Aorus X570S Master - Ryzen 5900X - Gskill 64GB 3200/CL14@3600/CL14 - Asus 1080ti EK-waterblock - 4x Samsung 980Pro 1TB - 1x Samsung 870 Evo 1TB - 1x SanDisc 120GB SSD - Heatkiller IV - MoRa3-360LT@9x120mm Noctua F12 - Corsair AXi-1200 - TiR5-Pro - Warthog Hotas - Saitek Combat Pedals - Asus PG278Q 27" QHD Gsync 144Hz - Corsair K70 RGB Pro - Win11 Pro/Linux - Phanteks Evolv-X
Commandosolo
NO don't fall for the BS. UNLESS you know how to overclock you will notice nothing. Even then, meh you might get an extra frame rate or two. save money for other stuff, like a dedicated 500gb SSD :)
Django
What I'm looking for is memory to complement my i7-9700K and GTX1080Ti but I'm not planning to OC the memory initially. Only as the system gets dated would I want a good OC from the memory, I'm looking for modules with Samsung B-Die chips. As a rule of thumb which of the following 32GB 2x16 kits would you guys consider: 3000 CAS16 £250 (non B-Die) 3000 CAS15 £275 (non B-Die) 3000 CAS14 £350 3200 CAS16 £280 (non B-Die) 3200 CAS15 £350 3200 CAS14 £380 Edited February 23, 2019 by Django Regards, Django. | BMS | DCS OB | A-10C II | AV-8B | F-16C | F/A-18C | FC3 | Persian Gulf | Supercarrier | Tacview | XP11 | FF A320 | FF 757 | | I7-9700K + NH-D15 | RTX3080Ti 12GB | DDR4-3200 16GB | Aorus Z390 Ultra | 2X Evo 860 1TB | 850W | Torrent Case | | Warthog HOTAS + CH Pedals | 32" TV 1080p 60Hz | TrackIR5 |
BitMaster
yeah..I mean..if you have those extra 30, go for the 14ers. 350 for 32GB is already a rip-off, so why not get completely robbed but be left with a smile. Hope the board likes them or you end up like me with 3600-16 only doing 3000-16. Bottom line, you wont notice and you wouldnt notice if I had all RAM above and would let you test them all in DCS. You would feel ZERO difference across them all. It's all hobby and men and their toys but not a real value.
