Yes I know we're going to get 6DOF support by Black Shark but I'm curious about that is it hard to add 6DOF support to Lock-On with a patch too? In my opinion I would like to get it very much.

Sorry me I wanted to say FC of course. So I asked here is there possibility to make cockipts fully 3d by patch or something like that? I don't know just it can be so good.

After played Flight Simulator X which is 6DOF supported, I wish to get same feelings by Flaming Cliffs too. Btw I know ED is working hard and everybody ask something from them so maybe they dot down my request too. :P

Well, if you want a 6DOF cockpit, why don't you build one by yourself?:joystick:

 

Is it possible to create 3rd party cockpits? That would be great, one cockpit is worth four dozen high-poly tanks.

Maybe not formal but people made Falcon 4 AF with 6DOF supported which is made almost 10 years ago. So I don't think that it'll be hard to make for Lock-On, just need a brave volunteer who can handle it.

You can't. The source code isn't open for editing by anyone outside ED's developers.

Oh, rebuilding the pits... hmmm. I don't believe this could be made by some third-party modder. It lays in ED good will so you know how it is.

 

I understood it was technically possible to create new cockpit 3D models?

 

There was some discussion about using the arguments setup to move needles and so forth . . . . and having to work out what each argument controlled from scratch.

 

So if you could do it, it would certainly be rather time-consuming . . .
