[NO BUG] TACAN always on and tied to D/L

Turning on IFF or DL will turn TCN on as well with no way to turn it off

After the last update and in flight start i can't no more turn off TACAN.

I asked a former F-18C pilot about that and he doesn't think it is a bug. However, he also stated he always flew with TACAN on anyways. So probably don't worry about it being on all the time.

Wouldnt be surprised either. They use some of the same boxes IRL, and one being inop can effect the other.

If you're worried about transmitting in a combat zone, consider placing your TACAN in receive only . I also thought it was weird that I couldn't turn it off since the latest update...

Yes, that is the important part so that someone else can't cycle through tacans to find enemy targets easy.

The TACAN is integrated into the MIDS. Whether this means you can't turn it off, I wouldn't know. The NATOPS talks about turning it on at least, but it doesn't say regarding MIDS-equipped aircraft.
