Ghost89
Hi, I got a stupid question... Does it make sence to change the number of the D/L? Lets say there are F18 on the blue and on the red side. Both teams have D/L number 127 saved... will they get the same information? :joystick: i7-6800k | 32GB G.Skill RipJaws V DDR4-3200 | 8GB GeForce GTX 1080 | Win10pro x64 | Oculus Rift | Hotas Warthog | Logitech G Saitek PRO Flight Rudder Pedals

blkspade
The DL seems to be coalition filtered, so it doesn't matter if opposing similar planes are on the same frequency. Its functionally simulating the RL shared secret key for encryption via coalition selection. http://104thphoenix.com/

Its functionally simulating the RL shared secret key for encryption via coalition selection. So the numbers are completely arbitrary, and make no difference whatsoever? I haven't really played with changing the numbers to find out for myself. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Ramsay
Seems like my question isnt that stupid :D You can change the D/L number. I just dont know if it will change anything. If I've understood - • Northrop Grumman's "Understanding_Voice+Data_Link_Networking.pdf" ... correctly. There can be up to 127 Nets (Channel 0 - 126), though the typical number of stacked nets is less. By convention, Stacked Nets are designated "Net 127" in documents and indicate that the operational net number for this network is in a "Operational Data Links Tasking" message - which isn't modelled in DCS. The data link is encrypted and channel hops on 51 frequencies between 960 - 1215 MHz (the same region as TACAN frequencies). I'd guess the D/L default "Channel 127" is in reference to "Net 127" ? i9 9900K @4.9GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 10 Pro x64, 1920X1080
