Why is the F-14 so easy to notch? every target that turns over 25 degrees away from my line of closure is instantly lost on the DDD and the TID, Will the threshold switch enabled at some point for the DDD to help somewhat combat this?

The problem is that it does not work, Jester seems to take 'Switch P-STT' as a suggestion instead of a command, and if he is switching then the radial menu is bugged and PSTT doesnt work properly as he still drops lock always, and wont hold lock for more then 10 seconds at any one time, and getting a lock in PDSTT is impossible making notching targets impossible to reacquire since jester seems to lock in PDSTT first with PSTT being an option after it, i havent messed with it enough to know for sure but the way he just fails to see targets that im close enough to hear the pilot screaming "Blyaаааааааааааd" is insane.

It's the notch filter. There are a couple of options. One is simply to switch to pulse search and try to pick him up on the DDD with that. The other thing you could try is to disable the MLC to basically turn off the filter. I prefer this option at the moment though I've had little practice with the pulse search so...

I've had a hard time picking anything up on the pulse search but I might be doing something wrong.

Try commanding the switch to pulse earlier. If the target approaches the MLC, it will drop the STT and will revert to search mode. Switch to pulse when the target aspect approaches 45°, and see if that does it.

I tried this, but it seems that when I jump in the RIO seat and change it, Jester changes it back to what he thinks is necessary, which seems to be TWS Auto.

I don't see anything in the jester menu to tell him to stick with Pulse modes

I suspect that this will be one of the reasons a human RIO will be superior to Jester. The AI can only deal with a set number of states.

Agreed... I think overtime jester will also get smarter though.
