I have tried to load all types of 20MM in the F14 and when I cold start the counter is always saying the plane has no gun ammo until I manually turn the round counter up from 0?

Surely this is a bug or something ground crew would do? I have switched to guns several times and says 0 rounds because you gotta turn counter knob every flight.

Same thing in the FW-190. The ammo counter is always 0 when spawning/rearming. Has been like this forever and I gues it's intended.

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

The counters in Dora are set automatically on mission startup, the same counters in Bf-109 are not, it's just inconsistent.

Come on guys, there is a great manual for the F-14:

http://www.heatblur.se/F-14Manual/weapons.html?highlight=gun

The OP seems to be quite aware how to set the rounds, that's not the topic of this thread.

If you want to be so particular about the manual, the checklist does not instruct the pilot to set the counter, only to verify if its state is as expected.

My bad, it is indeed the Bf-109 where you have to set them by yourself :music_whistling:

If you cold-start or rearm the pilot has to set the counter manually.

Thanks, that clears it up!
