FlankerMan Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 Whenever I make a mission with clouds (that aren't a full cloud cover, mind), they always disappear a few minutes into the mission (except for in missions I DIDN'T make, oddly enough). Why? Is there a fix or solution?

Why? Is there a fix or solution? Stop making missions? :) Sorry. Couldn’t resist. That’s a very odd problem. Is it that they disappear even if you sit in one place? Or are you flying out from under their coverage? 71st_AH Rob Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 This is an old problem with static weather. Often triggered by using one of the F views including F10 to view the map. Clouds are also local and it seems they are related to the preload radius you have set. Try dynamic weather and it should stay
FlankerMan Posted March 15, 2019 Author Posted March 15, 2019 Yes, F10 will always remove them. I don't know much about dynamic weather, what should I put for standard cloud scattering?

Just set the number of systems to two or more—play with the number. Click the generate button. Look at the winds. If you don’t like what you see, click generate again and again until you do. Cloud density and rain are tied to wind speed. The higher the wind speeds, the more if both you get. Unfortunately, with the present weather engine, you never get full cloud cover. But more than anything, watch the winds. You don’t want them too high in the mission area or flying will be a royal PITA.
