nothing super fancy but noticed a lack of videos on the ACLS which surprised me so I made a quick one myself. might do a tutorial later.

Working on this procedure now but unsuccessful. Would you be able to provide a switch setting list? I get that the aircraft will have to be in the groove but do not know the data link settings that Jester needs to make either. Stennis as host maybe?

Thanks in advance.

tell jester to set data link: carrier as host

sas panel: Autopilot on and left most switch on lower row to acls

hud: landing mode

autothrottle on

fly it like you would an ICLS and you MUST BE STABLE ON THE APPROACH and when you get the 4 lightsleft of VDI

LANDING CHECK,

ACL READY,

A/P CPLR

and at the bottom A/P REF

push the NWS button and you should get CMD CONTROL. at that point its hands off.

it did take a few tries. had one where left wing dropped right at the ramp, another where it started sinking short. so you have to watch it but dont move any controls unless you are switching to manual

Once ACLS is turned on, is the whole process fully automatic landing?

except for the possibility of it over correcting and shutting itself off after falling out of the beam, yes. just have to watch the system basically
