VampireNZ Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 (edited) Having a few issues with the AP. I engage by flicking the ENGAGE switch fwd and get control wheel steering, auto trim and holding pitch, bank etc. But if I then flick the ENGAGE switch off, the AP stays engaged - so same flight control support, can't manual trim etc. I have to pull the AP Emergency Disconnect lever to properly disengage the AP, which also trips off SAS etc. Bug, something I am doing wrong? Seems incorrect to require use of the Emergency Disconnect to disable the AP every time? Edited April 14, 2019 by IronMike Vampire
andycolgan Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 When I engage AP i get the desired attitude hold. If I use my mouse to click the AP off I get the desired effect. If i use my joystick binding to disengage the AP (not emergency disconnect) It remains in attitude hold, noticed by the the jumpiness of the roll handling. If I use emergency AP disconnect binding I get the desired effect of that function.

VampireNZ Posted March 16, 2019 Author Posted March 16, 2019 When you're in autopilot press "Autopilot toggle" and it will turn off all AP modes Indeed it may well do - just advising that if you actually disengage the AP using the AP ENGAGE switch (which I have bound to a switch in my pit)...it doesn't actually disengage the AP all the time. zeufman Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 (edited) i noticed too sometimes it works to disengage, sometimes not, and don't know why it doesn't work at this moment. Later, it works again to disengage, don't know again why Edited March 20, 2019 by zeufman
