pimp Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Hi All, I'm trying to figure out why my bomb fall line and velocity vector is never lined up in the center. I thought it was because my mission had wind activated, so I turned it off, but the fall line still is offset. I did the training mission with no problems, but my own mission with a cold start, the fall line does not work the same. Sometimes I can see the crosshairs going up the fall line but it is pretty much off the hud. So far, I've only tried the MK-82's and Zuni's. My steps are: Master Arm on-->A-G Mode-->Ask Jester to select the MK-82's-->Ask Jester to select the nose fuze. Are there any other steps I'm missing that would cause the bomb fall line not to line up on center? Thanks in advance!!! i9 14900k @5.6GHz NZXT Kraken |Asus ROG Strix Z790 A-Gaming | Samsung NVMe m.2 990 Pro 2TB | 64GB DDR5 6400MHz EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra | PiMAX CRYSTAL LIGHT | HOTAS Warthog | Saitek Flight Pedals
Larkis Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Had a similar problem with a velocity vektor in landung mode. No eind on the map but the vektor was far on the right side and i messed up my whole landing, concentrating on that piece of junk. Do you made a landing before you bomb? Maybe we damagen the HUD System with a too hard landing?
pimp Posted March 17, 2019 Author Posted March 17, 2019 No. This is after a cold start & takeoff. i9 14900k @5.6GHz NZXT Kraken |Asus ROG Strix Z790 A-Gaming | Samsung NVMe m.2 990 Pro 2TB | 64GB DDR5 6400MHz EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra | PiMAX CRYSTAL LIGHT | HOTAS Warthog | Saitek Flight Pedals
G.J.S Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Just speculating, but could it be due to split throttles? A little more RPM on one side than the other? That would kick the tail a little leading to your bomb fall line being offset? - - - The only real mystery in life is just why kamikaze pilots wore helmets? - - -
Jansgi Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 (edited) Well the accelerometer there in the picture is indicating max reach of 10g's, so that could be a problem if you over G the aircraft. pimp Posted March 17, 2019 Author Posted March 17, 2019 I figured out my issue. The fact that I've been cold starting from the carrier is why the fall line is offset. I thought I've been doing a fine INS alignment on the carrier but I think I've been interrupting it when I switch to the RIO pit during the process. After testing, I realized doing a fine alignment on the carrier takes forever. After cold starting from an airbase, everything works like it should. i9 14900k @5.6GHz NZXT Kraken |Asus ROG Strix Z790 A-Gaming | Samsung NVMe m.2 990 Pro 2TB | 64GB DDR5 6400MHz EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra | PiMAX CRYSTAL LIGHT | HOTAS Warthog | Saitek Flight Pedals

I had the same issue, I did INA NOW twice and got the offset not only in CCIP, in any mode i7-6700K | MSI Z170A Gaming M7 | Dominator 32GB 3000MHz | MSI GTX 1070 GAMING Z | 2TB SSD & 1TB HDD | Acer H277HU 27" WQHD | Audeze Mobius | TM Warthog | MFG Crosswind | TrackIR 5 | Windows 10 Pro
pimp Posted March 18, 2019 Author Posted March 18, 2019 (edited) I had the same issue, I did INA NOW twice and got the offset not only in CCIP, in any mode Well I believe the INS Now option is the fastest process, but it's not recommended for using weapons. Looking at videos from players on the carrier, I'm really confused as to why I was having this issue. I was doing the same INS option as them. So far cold starting from airbases is working for me. I'll give carriers another try though. As you said currently airbases is best now i7-6700K | MSI Z170A Gaming M7 | Dominator 32GB 3000MHz | MSI GTX 1070 GAMING Z | 2TB SSD & 1TB HDD | Acer H277HU 27" WQHD | Audeze Mobius | TM Warthog | MFG Crosswind | TrackIR 5 | Windows 10 Pro
