I would like to know the name for the commands to certain things in the Mirage, so that I can put them on my joystick. They are:

1-The Magic II selector switch.

2-The Super 530D selector switch.

3-The active radar mode (BVR scan mode, whatever it's called).

For the weapons it's store 1/2/3 and so on

And for the Close Combat mods it's "Special Mode"

1-The Magic II selector switch. => MAGIC SELECT (can only be done on the HOTAS in real life, PCA is only used for selective jettisone = unguided firing)

AA Gun SELECT is a must too.

2-The Super 530D selector switch. => Stores 2 SELECT (PCA bottom line button 2, IRL no HOTAS command for Super 530D, but I assigned it on my X-55 :D). This one will also select AG weapon if any. You’re not supposed to mix different type of AG weapons (one at a time).

3-The active radar mode (BVR scan mode, whatever it's called) : BVR scan is the basic radar mode as soon as it is ON (command radar ON/ OFF).

Special Modes FWD/ AFT cycles close combat mode, some of which depends on selected weapon.

Target unlock/ Special Mode Deselect: pretty straight forward, isn’t it :smilewink:

I would advise to map NAV UPDATE/ Magic Unlock and Magic Slave (to slave to radar lock, it isn’t automatic).

But all that is detailed in the manual, like any DCS aircraft:

Eagle Dynamics/ DCS World/ Mods / Aircraft/ M-2000C/ Doc

a more realistic option than Jojo's 3) would be to assign the "PCA select" command( True HOTAS command )

when you know you are about to (be) engage(d), select the S-530D on the PCA with the mouse

then, you will be able to select MAGIC / GUN / S-530D / GUN /MAGIC / S-530D by using the "true" HOTAS commands

Okay, I have all of this down, I've figured it out, but I have another question. What's the name of the command(s) for single chaff/flare release? Insert/delete are currently assigned to something that releases several of each per button press, and I want to change it to like in the FC3 aircraft. Also, does the M-2000C release one flare at a time, or two? Or can it do either?

For Stores 2 SELECT, given that I also use VR, and that mouse use is a pain in the a.. in VR, I like my way better :D

One chaff/ one flare is rather a FC3 type feature. Like I said, give a look at the manual for counter mesure use, or we will end up re-writing the manual in this thread.

And as a bonus, the manual comes in English :smilewink:

indeed. you just have to check your kneeboard. choose programm 5 with the decoy dispenser knob on your right side (above your tacan unit). that's for example 1x flare & 1x chaff. i suggest "chucks guide". everything you need to know is written down with pictures in order to make it even easier. hope that helps ;)
