m0j0NL Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Hey Folks, I have a couple questions about the Strikeagle, and Hornet in the foreground, a skin i`ve finished, and one i just started to work on. About the Hornet in the foreground, is it possible to recreate the high gloss color paint, in combination with a satin/matt grey base coat?. Such as the original plane: And about the AI F-15E The F-15E folder, and .lua looks like this: So..does anyone know where DCS is getting the serial number/tailcode/tail banner/command shield from?.. No sign of any Lakenheath insignia in photoshop: Thanks for any tips you might have!. kr m0j0 My skins: https://tiny.cc/m0j0NL [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Magic Zach Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 For getting gloss, matt, etc looks to your aircraft, you want to use the roughmet maps. Open your browser and search “DCS ED forums PBR Guide” and you should see a post by Skatezilla. Give that a read. You can make roughmets out of diffuse textures. As for the F-15 problem, check the F-15.zip folder, in the Bazar folder in DCS World. Might be there.
