Hi guys. I bought several toggle switch, rotary encoders, Hall effect potentiometers, push buttons, etc to build a switch panel for my DCS.

 

I have an Arduino MEGA board, UNO and node mcu, but I don’t have the LEO BORDNAR board. do I need to buy this LB board or Can I perfectly replace that board with one of the other mentioned before?

 

Is there in the market a similar board to the LB?

I think you could walk the Arduino MEGA or UNO road, but that will be slightly more complicated than a LB Bordnar, which is mostly plug and play.

Before we had dcs bios, using keyboard encoder would be the easiest. But they are expensive.

 

Now with dcs bios, using arduino is easy. Buying arduino boards from Aliexpress is so cheap. like $7 for a mega. I have a full A-10C cockpit, powered by 8 megas.

 

if you were to cover all cockpit inputs, you will need many BU0386X which cost about 10x more than a mega each.
