Donut Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 I have been away from the Hornet for a bit and have been flying the Tomcat. Back in the Hornet today, I noticed the lack of sound effects compared to the Tomcat. Now, I know the Tomcat sounds are a bit overdone to compensate for lack of feel and increase immersion but there are some Hornet sounds I would think would still be heard. Specifically, I noticed no sound from the landing gear be raised or lowered. I could be wrong but I thought that there used to be a sound heard. As for the other in cockpit sounds, I know the helmet and wind, etc. will drown out many of the sounds but I just wanted to check to see if what we are hearing in the Hornet is realistic. i5 7600K @4.8GHz | 1080 Ti | 32GB 3200MHz | SSD | DCS SETTINGS | "COCKPIT"

Thrust regulator sound (Throttle_Click1,2,3 ) is missing. Will this still be realized ?. Or have the work on the sound been completed ?:ermm:. i9-11900K, alle Kerne 5100 MHz – Asus ROG Maximus XIII Extreme – 64 GB DDR4 3733 MHz Cl17 – NVIDIA Rtx Asus Strix Oc 2080 super (4090 später ) – Hotas Warthog mit Drossel – Vpc Mongoos T50CM2 & Vpc 200 mm Verlängerung – Vpc ACE Sammlung Pedale -Trackir5

I do not have a real world example. but what I found is this. Source: DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\FA-18\Cockpit I mean it is a mechanical component which gives the pilots a feedback ( detent ). This usually also makes noise. Not real but typically mechanical thumbs up for this man . i9-11900K, alle Kerne 5100 MHz – Asus ROG Maximus XIII Extreme – 64 GB DDR4 3733 MHz Cl17 – NVIDIA Rtx Asus Strix Oc 2080 super (4090 später ) – Hotas Warthog mit Drossel – Vpc Mongoos T50CM2 & Vpc 200 mm Verlängerung – Vpc ACE Sammlung Pedale -Trackir5

DeathAngel1 Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 Guys is there a mod or an option which alows cockpit sounds in Hornet when clicking buttons (like it was in A-10C)? Because now there are full of silence in Hornet`s cockpit, and this is not realistic i think... ..:NAVY PILOTS ARE THE THE BEST PILOTS:..

Now the Tomcat armchair simmers want those [uNREALISTIC] click clack sounds added to the Hornet even though the F-14’s own SME’s say it’s unrealistic. This is supposed to be a simulator, not a wishulator. If you want arcade sounds (which is exactly what you’re asking for, btw) hopefully MAC will be more your style when it’s released.
