DCS Updater freezing around 80 megs during update (beta .28461 to .29585)

Some one help me out here with what I need to do because I'm lost. Haven't updated the beta install in a while so I'm a few patches behind. The updater(2.9.9.2) gets to the "downloading deltas" portion and freezes every time somewhere between 75-85 megs and won't go any further. I've ran the "cleanup" and tried to "repair" and the repair tool says .28461 is no longer available, also manually downloaded the updater utility and tried that...no help. No mods that I can remember, etc...just a normal beta install.

 

Anyone got a solution?

Just to add additional info to this, my dcs update folder goes to 98.1MBs in size every time when it freezes. Plenty of drive space, have deleted the folder a few times...no luck.

 

Mayne the needed server files are missing? Seems to be a failure to download, not a fail to install.

I'm having the exact same problem. Not sure what the cause is at all but I tried manually updating to different release and beta versions and it still does the same thing.

 

Gets to about 80 megs, freezes and sends my CPU skyhigh.

didn't quite work out.

 

 

Regardless of the version that the updater tries to update to, the updater freezes at :

00017.027 STATUS: Downloading deltas...

00024.640 INFO : DELTA_DOWNLOAD_BEGIN: Mods/aircraft/FA-18C/Missions/Campaigns/Hornet 1989-OCA.miz

 

Try re-naming the

.Mods/aircraft/FA-18C/Missions

folders to

.Mods/aircraft/FA-18C/Missions_old

 

That got the updater to stop freezing

Found the bug, deltas disabled globally until fixed.

They must have changed something overnight because it worked with me through powershell this morning.

 

Shift+right click on [Drive]:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin

 

then open with powershell in the drop down, type cmd, hit enter and then type

 

DCS_updater.exe udpate

 

^^it's case sensitive.
