I've run into a weird problem where the Open Beta DCS release v2.5.4.29585 is reading the config files from the

C:\Users\<user>\Saved Games\DCS

directory not

C:\Users\<user>\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta

as it was previously.

Is there a setting anywhere that controls where the Open Beta looks for config files that I can check to see if something has got corrupted ?

(I've tried a standard repair without any success)

In the DCS root folder, create a text file called "dcs_variant.txt" with the one word suffix you want to use for your save folder i.e.

If "dcs_variant.txt" is

openbeta

the save folder will be called "DCS.openbeta"

If "dcs_variant.txt" is

test

the save folder will be called "DCS.test"

If the save folder with the .suffix doesn't exist, it is created when DCS is run.
