Hey all, Ok so finally after years of playing with Saitek garbage I got myself the Warthogs. Now I had some keys mapped just through the game but when you run the target software those that were mapped through the game stopped working, is this normal? Also what did everyone do when trying to map functions that don't have any keyboard functions?

Target creates a new virtual device, that’s why the assignments don’t work anymore.

So how do you assign buttons that have no keyboard functions? Do you have to find a key not used and hope for the best?

Two ways to overcome that:

* In Target you can not only assign key presses and releases, but DX buttons and axes, too.

* In DCS you can assign missing keyboard commands then use those in Target.

Or: don't use Target as I do.

You can do complex operations with Target software that is not possible within DCS settings short of editing the lua files directly, that's why I like it so much. For example, press one button for Macro (turn on/off 4 light switches at once). Another trick I like is Sequence, one button cycles between multiple different operations such as toggling between Nav/AA/AG mode).

You can do this with other external software also (joystick gremlin/vjoy, etc.), but Target works extremely well with TM devices.

PC: 5800X3D/4090, 11700K/3090, 9900K/2080Ti.

Joystick bases: TMW, VPC WarBRD, MT50CM2, VKB GFII, FSSB R3L

Joystick grips: TM (Warthog, F/A-18C), Realsimulator (F-16SGRH, F-18CGRH), VKB (Kosmosima LH, MCG, MCG Pro), VPC MongoosT50-CM2

Throttles: TMW, Winwing Super Taurus, Logitech Throttle Quadrant, Realsimulator Throttle (soon)

VR: HTC Vive/Pro, Oculus Rift/Quest 2, Valve Index, Varjo Aero, https://forum.dcs.world/topic/300065-varjo-aero-general-guide-for-new-owners/

Ok guys I assigned keys to everything since there are so many left over, that part seems to work well. Now a new problem, I just got my TFRP Rudder pedals now and yup, axis probs. I don't know why TM did this one virtual thing but I can't get all my controls working. Anyone have a fix to get everything working, mind you I have read a few articles and I don't know if I'm just not getting it but please make it simple to follow, would be appreciated
