Gun Jam Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 Drop tanks are still a mystery to me. How do I know when the plane is pulling fuel from the drop tanks? How do I know when the tanks are empty? How do I select between internal fuel and tanks? Im worried ive been pickling full tanks Thanks -Gun
lucky-hendrix Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 All fuel control are on the left panel bellow the landing gear handle. There is a big white rocker switche for fuel quantity gauge. If you keep it pressed in 'external', the fuel gauge will show the external fuel tanks in the numeric readout left and right of the tapes On the right of this there is an external tanks switch. Three positions overide-norm-off in norm, it will automatically pull fuel from ext. Tank when WOW is off. In overide it will allow ext. Tank feed even with WOW (if WOW malfunction for instance), in off it will only use internal tanks Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
Gun Jam Posted April 24, 2019 Author Posted April 24, 2019 yes this is what I was after. like you said it looks like it uses fuel from the drop tanks first as I would hope. Now I can keep tabs on them Thanks!
