DmitriKozlowsky Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 I notice that hot re-arming allows GAU-12, T-Pod, and DECM pod to be installed and removed. I can see that AV-8B would be capable of hot re-fuel and wing mounted stores. But , from watching normal cold installation of GAU-12 videos , I can't see how that would be possible with engine idling.
Harlikwin Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 All dcs planes can be hot fueled an armed. Full repair takes 3 min too. New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1) Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).
viper2097 Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Not all, FC3 planes, for example, need to be shut down and canopy opened. I think that this is probably a DCS limitation. Maybe there are a few parameters that must be right that DCS allow rearming, but can't seperate between single weapon stations. As Harlikwin said. Full repair needs 3 minutes *ggg*. Rearming needs a few seconds. I'm fine with that, no need for me to be that realistic. Steam user - Youtube I am for quality over quantity in DCS modules
Harlikwin Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 Honestly there could be a "realistic rearm option" but no one would use it in the online servers, you don't want to be sitting there for X minutes why you are getting re-armed/fueled, you want to play. In terms of "realistic repair" lofl, unless its something really minor and not actual battle damage from a SAM or AAA... At best you are getting a new plane if the squadron actually has more planes than pilots (lol), or more than likely you are sitting on the sidelines for a while.
