Mr_Burns Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Will the simulation require the use of the control panel underneath the Center MFD to use the RWR or can you do it all from within the MFD's? I havnt got around to using it yet but noticed its bloody hard to see what is there.
Harker Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 You can have the RWR scope on one of the displays and on the HUD. You can select and modify your CM programs through the DDI (MFD) EW page, but for things like Limit, Expand etc, you need to hit the buttons below the AMPCD (central bottom display). I just have them mapped to my keyboard, it's much easier. The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Join the vCVW-17 Discord. I wonder if they're more easily reachable IRL, if you consider how the pilot is sitting etc. On my end, I memorized them after a while, so I just hit the key assigned to the second button for Expand etc The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Maybe you can use them "by feel" though. Though I generally hate using VA for actual buttons I can push I made the exception for this though I do feel dumb voice controlling my plane. I feel like i'm in a bad movie saying "enhance, enhance" at sat imagery... New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. I feel like i'm in a bad movie saying "enhance, enhance" at sat imagery...I never liked the idea of using VA to control the plane either, but I never thought about it that way . I don't have VR, I just use my keyboard for those buttons. I have them on 1-5 and it's pretty much muscle memory now. I was referring to the actual cockpit, maybe it's not that easy for the pilot to reach them. Although I don't know if the default camera view in the cockpit corresponds exactly to how a pilot sitting properly in the cockpit would see. For example, it feels like he has the UFC almost at eye level, and not the HUD. The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Join the vCVW-17 Discord.
