colo Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 Hi put your image files in these folders: - for stable version C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD\FA-18C_hornet - for beta C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\KNEEBOARD\FA-18C_hornet Intel Core i7 11700, 32 GB RAM, Nvidia RTX 4090, NVMe 3 TB, VR HP Reverb G2, Thrustmaster Warthog + pedals, Cougar MFDs, TrackIR, aInstruments
Ramsay Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 I have it there, but can't see it in the pit?? DCS needs a lowercase file extension i.e. .jpg, .png, .bmp, etc. If the image file has uppercase, DCS doesn't recognise it i.e. .JPG, etc. i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440
oldpop Posted May 2, 2019 Author Posted May 2, 2019 knee board placed these 2 file as directed, but can't get them to show in pit
Ramsay Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 (edited) placed these 2 file as directed, but can't get them to show in pit I tested your 2 files in my install, and they were ok. Note: The module folder name used in the kneeboard folder is also case sensitive, so it's important to use the same capitalisation as previously described i.e. "FA-18C_hornet" "Saved Games\DCS\Kneeboard\FA-18C_hornet\cv1.jpg" This is my kneeboard folder structure : Edited May 3, 2019 by Ramsay i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440
oldpop Posted May 3, 2019 Author Posted May 3, 2019 kneeboard Ram, what function do you use to view the kneeboard?
Ramsay Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 Ram, what function do you use to view the kneeboard? • "RShift+K" to Open the Kneeboard then • "]" to page right, through several (depends on the number of waypoints) "map" pages to reach my custom pages. OR • "[" to page left, through the airport charts (53 for the Caucasus map) to reach my custom pages. Tested in DCS Open Beta 2.5.4.30038 i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440
oldpop Posted May 3, 2019 Author Posted May 3, 2019 OK, found the problem! In the "saved Games" folder/ kneeboard folder it "_hornet" was missing! Now if I could get rid of most of the "charts" displayed I would be set! :)
