Hi, currently I'm using a head tracking device to move my view around the cockpit, I'm using Opentrack or FacetrackNoIR for the software part.

I have tried to disable/pause the head tracking software in order to get access to snapviews without much success, I have searched the forums and all I have found states that when you pause or stop the tracking you regain access to the keybinded views with the numpad or mouse,.

I have only achieved this by opening FacetrackNoIR app and stopping the engine altogether, but you can't do this with through a shortkey.. you have to do it manually switching to the app and clicking your mouse on the stop button. You can assign a key to start/stop in the shortkeys, pausing the head tracking but that doesn't give me access to the numpab views/snapviews in DCS.

With Opentrack nothing I do gets me the numpad views/snapviews working. Here, defining shortkeys to stop tracking is the same as clicking stop with the mouse, they effectively stop the tracking but in DCS the normal views with numpad or mouse won't start working.

Any ideas what I could be missing?? I have not changed anything manually in the server.lua or snapviews.lua files.

Thanks

Pablo

Hi Pablo,

Its strange, as the FacetrackNoIr key shortcuts do work for me, I’ve one defined for starting and stopping the headtracking. My hotas allows me to send several commands to dcs with a single button press, sobthat way I can stop the headtracking just before activating the snapview.

Here I’ve a video where I use 4 snapview on the mirage:

I’m traveling at the moment, so I cant show you a screenshot of my FTNIR shortcuts, but I’m sure that they work.

Cheers,

Eduardo

The snapviews definitively work with the TrackIR, without needing to pause tracking.

Don't know for the FacetrackNoIR but it should be the same (DCS sees both as the same kind of device)

The snapviews do work with headtracking, but only if you keep the keys pressed .. pausing the headtracking software allows me to toggle the snapviews on/off, making it easier the tuning of radios, etc.
