Running Both Stable and OB - Files to Migrate

Recommended Posts

Downloaded OB. Got logged in. OB comes up fine with my purchased modules shown.

I need to know what files and folders to move from DCS Stable to DCS OB to fly in OB online.

I have the two opened in separate Explorer windows. I'm tempted to copy both the INPUT and VIEW folders from stable to OB in SavedGames\DCS\Config. Thought I would check in here first before taking the plunge.

I have two Cougar MFCD's and a Buddy-Fox UFC as well as the fullTM Warthog setup. I'm assuming my A10C folder in the INPUTS folder will bring all the bindings across?

Also, my created missions (not many of them, but it will save some work, bombing target placement etc.). How and where can I get them from stable to OB too.

Will both my log book data share across or will I always have two log books active.

Thanks!

Should be okay to do that.

In fact, I'd copy the entire content of Saved Games\DCS over to Saved Games\DCS.openbeta

The only thing to take care of are the two folders Metashaders and fxo: delete these from the Saved Games\DCS.openbeta after copying is done (or don't copy them in the first place).

They'll be re-created the next time DCS starts.

Yup, should be the case.

The default location for own created missions is Saved Games\DCS\Missions, so that should already be taken care of if you copy the entire Saved Games\DCS folder contents over to the OB.

If you've created missions long ago they might reside in your DCS installation directory: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\ (don't remember the exact path below that)

Might be worth taking a look.

Two separate logbooks.

Good luck and have a good flight. :)
